The annual Members Exhibition for 2026 runs 5th October 2026 – 25th October 2025 at ArtsPost, 120 Victoria St, Hamilton.
Opening Event – Saturday 10th October at 1.00pm.
Artwork submissions to be delivered 2 October by 12pm.
Entries must have been produced after September 2025 and may be two or three dimensional.
Please notify the office of any works with special hanging/display requirements by 21 September 2026.
Entry Information
Entry is open to all members of the WSA. Non-members who wish to submit works for this exhibition are welcome to join the Society.
This is a selected exhibition, and not all works may be accepted at the discretion of the WSA.
Method of Entry: You may enter by email, mail or dropping your entry into the WSA Artspost desk.
Entry fee: is $20 or $30 for two entries
Criteria & Conditions
Images: A high quality photo must be supplied with each entry.
Media: Two- and three-dimensional works in any media – may include painting and printmaking, pottery, sculpture, photography, video, audio, collage, and installation etc.
Installation: For installation work please provide a thorough description of the installation limited to 100 words and either a photo or a drawing. Please provide 3 photos that show the overall installation and parts if already made. Please be available for installation and be open to the committee calling you to discuss the installation.
Mounting for display: All two-dimensional work must be ready to hang. D-rings should lie flush at back of work with a hanging wire. No protruding screw eyes or hooks may be used. Any special hanging instructions must be included with the artwork. Work will not be hung if presentation and framing is not to exhibition standard
Reproduction: The WSA reserves the right to reproduce artworks and memorabilia for advertising purposes in any form, for any catalogue or other publicity of our choosing. There will be no entitlement to royalty or other payment for any reproduction.
Loss or damage: The WSA will take all care but accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage which may occur. Artists should arrange their own insurance.
Delivery: Unless advised otherwise, please deliver your artwork/s to ArtsPost by 2 October by 2pm.
Labelling: Package artworks with bubble-wrap and label with your name and artwork image, with the title of work on the outside of the packaging. Also include your name, title, medium and price, clearly on the back of the artwork or underneath. Notify WSA office by 21 September 2026 if you have special requirements (e.g. plinth or a non-traditionally ‘framed’ picture).
Sale of Artwork: All artworks must be for sale. The commission rate is 25% +GST. Prices listed on the entry form are to be inclusive of both.
Payments to Artists: The sale of any works shall not be deemed complete until the receipt and clearance of funds. Commission deduction and artist payments shall be made at the conclusion of the exhibition. The funds will be paid to artists on the 20th of the following month after the exhibition closes.
Collection of works: All unsold works to be collected from ArtsPost on Tuesday 27th October 2026 between 11am and 3pm.
