WAIPRINT 2025
10 July through 9 August
Opening celebration: Artspost, Saturday, 12 July, 1.00 pm
WAIPRINT is an annual exhibition of works by Waikato Society of Arts printmakers.
This year’s Guest Artist is Aotea printmaker Lorraine Sabini, whose exhibition ‘Composition de Coller’ reflects her passion for colour and process. Look out for her exploration of form and texture, expressed through collage and topped up with fire.
WAIPRINT Workshop: Playing with Print, 9.30-4.00, Sunday, 10 August
In the morning we’ll be making backgrounds and chine collé papers with gel plate and other styles of printmaking. In the afternoon we’ll explore ways to combine and juxtapose colours and textures, using collage and direct printing, a technique Lorraine often uses in her finished prints. $65 for the day, all materials supplied, but you’re welcome to BYO as well.
