WSA Tutor: Gemma Reid

Originally from Auckland Gemma moved overseas, returning to NZ in 2019.  She has now settled with her family in Hamilton.  Primarily working as a Printmaker, with a particular interest in intaglio, this print practice is augmented by a variety of creative methods.  As a freelance illustrator and designer Gemma has worked on a wide variety of projects.  She is also an experienced tutor having offered workshops with both adults and children. Gemma loves drawing and believes strongly that an active drawing practice underpins all artistic practice, whether you are drawing for its own sake or developing further creative concepts.  Observational drawing is an invaluable skill which will inform all of your art development whatever your artistic ability.
