This is a course for beginners and intermediate students who want to explore this highly versatile medium.
Pastel drawings are not only suitable as sketches and templates for oil and acrylic paintings, but they are also an art genre in their own right.
In our course, we will explore the materiality and colour effects of pastels and apply them in various areas: landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and abstract compositions.
Pastels will be provided for the first session. Participants will then receive a list of pastels and papers to purchase for the subsequent classes.
