In my painting and screen printing practice I am interested in painting outside of the confines of what is usually considered the standard rectangle – layering and disrupting the gestural painted mark with both manual and mechanised gestures and showcasing the luscious quality of paint. Within one painting you can see spin, smear, smudge, stroke, drip, crack and fissure, while the biomorphic shape breaks free of the traditional square frame.
