2025 NZPPA

The annual New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards are held at Artspost galleries in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton.

NZPPA2025 entries are now open and close on 16 December 2024.

The Main Prize in both Paint and Print is $12000 each and two Merit awards of $2000 are also there to be won. The judges first selections are from digital photo entries and then from these finalists the winning works are chosen. The judges are experts in their fields and one judge per medium makes the finalist selections.

Finalists and non-finalists are notified 14 January 2025.

The NZPPA has been running since 2000 and is a prestigious event on the NZ arts calendar. Alongside the exhibition will be workshops and artist talks, all free to the public.

The Opening and Awards will be held on 21 February 2025 at 6pm. This is a free event to the public, all welcome.
