Workshop:Â Ruth’s Shift Print technique with Steph McLellan
When:Â 9.00-noon on Saturday, 12 July (morning of the Opening)
Where: WSA Print Room, downstairs at Artspost in Hamilton
Cost:Â $45 including all materials
Class size: maximum of 10
Steph McLellan had the privilege of learning this technique directly from Ruth and now teaches it in her WSA printmaking classes. The technique lends itself to various plates and combines intaglio and relief methods. In this workshop you will use woodcut tools to create one or two vinyl plates (about A5) to print on A4 paper. You will go away with proofs, prints, plates and printing templates to use at home.
To register your interest in the workshop, please email Sue Roots (suerootsprintmaker@gmail.com) and she will put you on the list. When the first five people have contacted her, she will provide an account to pay into. This will secure your place in the workshop.
