Enjoy a weekend of creativity! Learn about mokuhanga in a relaxed environment and create your own postcard sized prints. Mokuhanga has a long history in Japan and is best known for the Edo period ukiyo-e prints. The process uses water-based inks and is executed with a handheld baren instead of a printing press. In this workshop you will work with partly pre-cut plates. With one on one support from the tutor you will carve a plate for the two-colour image you will print on the second day. Simple designs will be available, but feel free to bring your sketch books and ideas!
